Captures run in the background and are paced to keep your LinkedIn account safe. A pause is usually filtrat protecting your account or waiting for something, and most pauses end by themselves. The message on the list's progress bar tells you which.
Pause messages
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Next search starts in …" | A large search was split into smaller ones. There's a short break (30 seconds to 5 minutes) between them | Nothing. It continues on time |
| "Paused: LinkedIn is limiting this account. Resumes in …" | LinkedIn asked to slow down | Nothing. It resumes at the time shown |
| "LinkedIn kept limiting this account, so it's resting. Continues in …" | LinkedIn limited the account several times, so filtrat is giving it a longer break | Nothing. Consider a lower daily cap for this account |
| "Daily limit reached. Continues tomorrow." | The account used its daily cap | Nothing, or raise the cap in Settings → LinkedIn Accounts |
| "Paused: out of credits. Continues by itself after you add credits." | Your balance can't cover the next person | Top up in Credits & billing. It continues automatically |
| "Account is disconnected." | The LinkedIn session ended | Reconnect the account: see LinkedIn disconnected. It continues automatically |
| "Paused after an error. Retrying in …" | Something went wrong on one step | Nothing. It retries at the time shown |
| "Paused by you." | Someone paused it | Press Resume |
Don't cancel and restart a paused capture to make it go faster. A new capture waits for the same limits, and people already saved are skipped anyway.
When a capture is slow
A capture saves people at a pace that's safe for your account, so a big search can take hours or days. The capture's estimate tells you roughly how long. To go faster:
- raise the account's daily cap, if you're comfortable with more activity on it;
- connect a second LinkedIn account and share large captures between them.
See Daily caps and pacing and Searches over 2,500 people.
When a capture finished with fewer people
- People already in the list and people on your exclusion lists are skipped and not charged.
- The search returned fewer people than its count suggested. LinkedIn's counts are estimates.
- "Completed with issues" means some people couldn't be saved, for example profiles LinkedIn wouldn't show. The capture's counts say how many.
A failed capture can be retried. Leads saved before it stopped stay in the list.
Monitors and watchers
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "First check running · usually 1–2 min" | A new monitor is doing its first check | Wait a minute or two |
| "… · some keywords next check" | The check finished part of the keywords; the rest are checked next time | Nothing |
| "LinkedIn didn't respond · retrying next check" | The last check couldn't reach LinkedIn | Nothing. The next check retries. If it shows for a day or more, check the account isn't disconnected |
| "Monthly limit reached" | Saving commenters and likers used this month's credit limit you set | No more commenters or likers are saved until next month. Raise the monthly limit in the monitor's settings if you want more |
Watchers that save people also stop adding new ones when their monthly credit limit is used up, and continue the next month. See The monthly credit limit.
A monitor that can't be created or resumed may also say your plan's monitor limit is reached. Paused monitors count towards the limit; stop one or upgrade. See Monitor limits by plan.
