Delete your data

Updated Oct 20262 min read

You can delete your data in steps, from one list to your whole account. Most of it you can do yourself in the app.

Warning

Deletion is permanent. Download anything you want to keep first: see Download past results.

Clear your cached results

Every address you verify is remembered for 180 days, so checking it again in that time is free. To delete those results now:

  1. Open your Profile (click your avatar at the top right, then Profile).
  2. Under Cached results, press Clear cached results.
  3. Type CLEAR and press Confirm.

The page tells you how many results were cleared. After this, checking any of those addresses again costs credits as a new check.

Delete lists and jobs

Close your account

  1. If you have a subscription, cancel it first in Credits & billing, so you aren't charged again.
  2. Open your Profile.
  3. Under Delete account, press Request account deletion.
  4. Type DELETE and press Confirm deletion.

Your status changes to Pending Deletion, with the date you asked. Your account stays active until our team processes the request.

Once your account is closed, your account data and your work in filtrat are deleted within 30 days, including cached verification results that are less than 180 days old. Copies in logs and backups are overwritten in the ordinary course within 90 days.

Invoices and accounting records are kept for 7 years, because tax law requires it, even after your account is deleted. Unused credits are lost when the account is deleted.

Changed your mind before it's processed? Email support@filtrat.io as soon as possible.

Deleting data about someone else

If a person asks you to delete their data:

  1. Remove them from your lists.
  2. Add their email, domain or LinkedIn URL to an exclusion list, so they aren't captured or found again.

If you need us to delete something you can't remove yourself, email privacy@filtrat.io with what it is and which account it's in. We answer within one month.
