Import leads from a file

Lead lists in the app are filled from LinkedIn: searches, posts, events, watchers and decision-maker searches. There's no file upload on the Leads page yet. If you already have a file of people, there are three good ways to work with it, depending on what you need.

Choose the right route

Find emails for your file

Upload the file to Email finder → Bulk CSV and map the name, domain and, if you have them, LinkedIn URL, company name and country columns. You get a results table with the emails found and can export it as a CSV. See Find emails for a file.

Verify the addresses in your file

Upload the file to Email verifier → Bulk CSV and pick the email column. See Verify a list.

Add your people to a lead list with the API

The API can add people to a lead list from any source, including your own file or CRM. Create an API key on API → API keys first (see Create and revoke API keys).

1. Create a list:

2. Add people to it, using the id returned in step 1:

You can send up to 5,000 people per request. Useful fields are first_name, last_name, title, company, company_domain, linkedin_url and location. People already in the list are skipped.

The list then appears on the Leads page like any other. From there you can Find emails, Fill company details, filter, score and export. Adding people this way is free; finding their emails costs 20 per email found.
