Verify a list (CSV or Excel)

Updated Oct 20263 min read

Bulk verification checks every address in a file and gives you a results table you can filter, resolve and download. Use it to clean a list before a campaign or to re-check an old one.

What you can upload

Limit
File typesCSV or Excel (.xlsx)
File sizeUp to 10 MB
AddressesUp to 100,000 unique emails per job

The first row must hold the column names. Duplicate addresses and values that aren't valid email addresses are left out, so the job may have fewer rows than your file.

Start a job

  1. Open Email verifier → Bulk CSV.
  2. Drop your file on the upload area, or click it to browse.
  3. In Confirm email column, check the column we picked. A column named email, e-mail or email_address is detected automatically and marked auto-detected. If none is found, the dialog asks you to Map email column: pick it from the list. The preview shows the first values so you can be sure.
  4. Optional: turn on Auto-resolve catch-all emails to resolve catch-all addresses as soon as the first pass finishes (5 each, only when resolved).
  5. Press Start verification.

You go straight to the job page. Results arrive live; you can close the tab and come back from Recent jobs on the Bulk CSV page.

You can run one verification job at a time. A new upload waits until the current job finishes.

Read the results

The filter pills at the top show how many rows have each status and their share of the job: All, Deliverable, Catch-all, Invalid, Risky, and Skipped if any rows were skipped. Click one to filter the table. Use Search email address… to find a single row.

The table shows Email, Domain, Status, Reason, MX, Deliverability and Flags (role, disposable). See What each result means.

Actions on a job

ButtonWhat it does
Resolve catch-alls (N)Resolves the catch-all rows, or only the rows you selected. The dialog shows the cost and your balance first.
Find patterns (N)Looks up the email pattern of the catch-all domains in the job, 15 per domain where a pattern is found.
Re-verify all / Re-verify (N)Starts a new job that checks the addresses again with a fresh test. You can limit it to certain statuses under Or re-verify only. Available once the job has finished.
Resume (N)Checks rows skipped because your credits ran out.
DownloadAll results or Deliverable only. With rows selected, downloads only those.
DeleteRemoves the job and its results permanently.

The downloaded file

The download is a CSV with one row per address and these columns: email, suggested_email (a suggested address, when there is one), domain, status, catch_all, reason, email_pattern, mx_provider, deliverability_index, role and disposable. It doesn't include the other columns of your original file; match the rows back on the email address.

What it costs

  • 1 per deliverable or invalid result. Catch-all, risky and skipped rows are free.
  • Addresses you verified in the last 180 days come back from your history for free.
  • Catch-all resolution: 5 per address that comes back deliverable or invalid.

If your credits run out mid-job, the remaining rows are marked Skipped and nothing is charged for them. Add credits in Credits & billing, then press Resume.

Tip

Trying a new source of leads? Upload 50–100 rows first. You'll see the mix of results and the cost before you run the whole file.
