Catch-all resolution checks whether one specific mailbox exists on a domain that accepts every address. It turns a Catch-all result into Deliverable or Invalid. It costs 5 per address, charged only when it gets one of those answers.
Resolve one address
- Verify the address in Email verifier → Single check.
- If the result is Catch-All, press Resolve catch-all in the result banner.
- Wait for the answer. It usually takes a few seconds, sometimes up to a minute.
The banner then shows Deliverable/Catch-All or Invalid/Catch-All. If it can't be resolved, it stays Catch-All and the credits are not charged. You need at least 5 credits available to start.
Resolve a whole list
You can resolve catch-all rows in a bulk verification job in two ways.
Before the job starts: in the column dialog, turn on Auto-resolve catch-all emails. Every catch-all address is resolved after the first pass finishes.
After the job finishes:
- Open the job from Email verifier → Bulk CSV.
- To resolve everything, press Resolve catch-alls (N). To resolve only some, select those rows first; for a single row, use the resolve button on that row.
- The Resolve catch-all emails dialog shows how many addresses it includes, the most it can cost, and your balance. Press Confirm.
Results appear in the table as they come in. You can leave the page; resolution keeps running.
Resolve in the email finder and lead lists
- Email finder: tick Resolve catch-all domains before you search. If the email found is on a catch-all domain, it is confirmed for 5 more: 20 + 5 = 25. The 25 are held when the search starts; if the email isn't found, they're all given back, and if the domain didn't need resolution, the extra 5 are given back. See Found, catch-all unverified, not found.
- Lead lists: when Find emails saved catch-all addresses without resolution, Add data → Resolve catch-alls (N) confirms them later: 5 per address it confirms. The ones it can't confirm are free and keep their current address.
Spend less on large lists
On a list with many catch-all rows from the same few domains:
- Press Find patterns (N) in the bulk job. It looks up how each catch-all domain formats its addresses: 15 per domain, charged only when a pattern is found.
- Resolve the addresses that follow the domain's pattern first. They are the ones most likely to come back deliverable.
- Decide about the rest once you've seen the results.
What it costs
| Outcome | Cost |
|---|---|
| Comes back deliverable | 5 |
| Comes back invalid | 5 |
| Can't be resolved, stays catch-all | free |
If your credits run out during a bulk resolution, the remaining rows are marked Skipped. Add credits, then press Resume on the job.
A resolved invalid is worth paying for: it's a bounce you won't send, and a bounce you avoided protects your sender reputation.
