Every lookup ends in one of three results. You pay only when an email is returned.
The results
| Result | What it means | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Found | An address was found and confirmed by the company's mail server. | 20 |
| Found, confirmed on a catch-all domain | The domain accepts any address; with Resolve catch-all domains on, the address was checked and confirmed. | 25 |
| Found, catch-all unverified | The domain accepts any address and resolution was off. You get the most likely address, marked catch-all and not verified. | 20 |
| Not found | No address could be confirmed for this person at this domain. | free |
Catch-all domains. With Resolve catch-all domains on, an email found behind a catch-all domain costs 5 on top of the found email: 20 + 5 = 25. The 25 are held when the search starts. If the email isn't found, they're all given back, so a not-found costs nothing. If the email is found on a domain that didn't need resolution, the extra 5 are given back and you pay 20.
Found
The address is safe to send to. The result shows a Confidence score and the Pattern it follows (for example first.last). Check the Deliverability Index next to it: a Low or Very Low rating means the company filters incoming mail strictly. See The deliverability index.
Catch-all unverified
On a catch-all domain, any address looks accepted, so without resolution the finder can't confirm which one is real. It returns the address that best matches the company's email pattern, with a note: Catch-all domain: this is the most likely address, not verified.
To confirm it:
- Single lookup: search again with Resolve catch-all domains ticked (5 more).
- Lead lists: use Add data → Resolve catch-alls (N): 5 per address it confirms. Addresses it can't confirm are free and keep their current value.
- Next time: tick Resolve catch-all domains before searching. You pay the extra 5 only when an email needed confirming and was confirmed.
Unverified addresses are usually right, but send to them carefully and keep them out of high-volume sends until confirmed.
Not found
Nothing is charged. Common reasons:
- The domain doesn't receive email. Add the company name so the finder can locate the real email domain. See Why add the company name.
- Only one name was given, so fewer formats could be tried.
- The person has left the company. If you have their LinkedIn profile, use it to search where they work now.
A not-found result for the same person and domain is remembered for 7 days, and searching again in that time returns it instantly at no cost. To force a fresh search, press Retry (skip cache); it's charged only if an email is found.
Repeat lookups
An email you found for the same person at the same domain in the last 180 days comes back free, marked Free. Re-find runs a fresh search (20 if found).
In bulk jobs and lead lists
Bulk finder jobs also show Skipped (not searched because your credits ran out or the job was stopped; free, use Resume) and Errors (the search couldn't run; free, use Retry this search).
Lead lists show No Domain for leads without a company domain. Fill in company details first, then find emails. See Find emails for a lead list.
