Find one email

Updated Oct 20262 min read

The email finder looks up a person's work email from their name and their company's domain. Every address it returns has been checked against the company's mail server, so you get an address you can send to, not a guess.

Find an email

  1. Open Email finder → Single lookup and choose the Name + domain tab.
  2. In Full name, type the person's name, for example Jane Doe.
  3. In Company domain, type the domain (acme.com). A website address such as https://www.acme.com/about works too; only the domain is used.
  4. Optional: open Optional – improve accuracy (company name, country) and add the Company name and Country. You can also correct how the name was split with First name and Last name.
  5. Optional: tick Resolve catch-all domains to confirm the address when the company's domain accepts any email.
  6. Press Find email.

Most lookups return in a few seconds. Lookups on catch-all domains with resolution turned on can take longer.

Tips for better results

  • Use both first and last name. With only one name, fewer address formats can be tried, and fewer emails are found.
  • Add the company name. It lets the finder locate the company's real email domain when the website's domain doesn't receive mail. See Why add the company name.
  • Add the country when the company name is common or the company operates under different domains in different countries.
  • Titles and suffixes such as Dr., Prof. or PhD are removed automatically.

Read the result

When an email is found, you see:

  • The address, with a button to copy it.
  • Confidence: how sure the finder is that this is the right person's address.
  • Pattern: the format the address follows, such as first.last.
  • The credits used.

If the domain is catch-all and resolution was off, a note says the address is the most likely one but not verified. See Found, catch-all unverified, not found.

Below the result, Domain intelligence shows the domain, its MX Provider, whether it's Catch-all, its Deliverability Index and any Known patterns.

When nothing is found, the result reads Not found with No credits charged. If you didn't add a company name or country, the finder suggests trying again with them.

What it costs

ResultCost
Email found20
Email found on a catch-all domain and confirmed (with Resolve catch-all domains)25
Not foundfree
The same person at the same domain, found in the last 180 daysfree

Catch-all domains. With Resolve catch-all domains on, an email found behind a catch-all domain costs 5 on top of the found email: 20 + 5 = 25. The 25 are held when the search starts. If the email isn't found, they're all given back, so a not-found costs nothing. If the email is found on a domain that didn't need resolution, the extra 5 are given back and you pay 20.

A repeat lookup shows a Free tag; hover it to see when the email was found. To search again from scratch, press Re-find (20 if found).

Tip

Have a LinkedIn profile instead of a domain? Switch to the LinkedIn URL tab. See Find an email from a LinkedIn profile. For more than a few people, upload a file: see Find emails for a file.
