Sometimes the best ICP is hiding in your own lists: customers you won, leads that replied, or rows an ICP turned down that still look valuable. Suggest ICP reads the rows you pick and drafts one ICP from what they have in common.
Drafting the ICP is free. It needs the Growth plan or higher (credit packs don't unlock it), and a company set up in Targeting.
Suggest an ICP
- Open a lead list or a company list.
- Select the rows you want to start from, up to 50. If you select more, only the first 50 are read.
- Choose Suggest ICP in the selection bar.
- If you have more than one company in Targeting, pick which company is selling to them.
- Press Suggest ICP. filtrat reads the rows and drafts one ICP from what they share.
Review the result
You'll see the suggested ICP's name and:
- Who they are: the company traits they share.
- Who we talk to: the people (lead lists only).
- Why they buy.
- A short line on what the rows have in common.
If a row was turned down by another ICP but its card noted another way it could buy, that note goes into the suggestion too.
Then choose:
- Add ICP to add it to Targeting straight away. It opens there with criteria created from the texts.
- Review in Targeting to look at it among your suggestions first. It's waiting there, marked ✦ Suggested, until you add or dismiss it.
Pick good examples
- Pick rows that are alike in the way that matters. Five customers in the same industry and size give a sharp ICP. Five unrelated rows give a vague one.
- A few clear examples are enough. You don't need 50.
- Leave out outliers. One very different company pulls the suggestion off course.
Use it
Once added, the ICP works like any other:
- Edit the criteria, star what matters and test it for free. See Write good ICP criteria.
- Score lists with it. See Score leads against your ICP.
- Find more people and companies like your examples with Find new. See Find people with ready searches.
This is how look-alike search works in filtrat today. See Find companies like your best customers.
