Start from what you already have. The table below matches the most common starting points to the right tool, and what it costs.
Start from what you have
| You have | Use | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Email addresses you want to send to | Email verifier (Single check or Bulk CSV) | 1 per verified or invalid result |
| Names and companies, no emails | Email finder (Single lookup or Bulk CSV) | 20 per email found |
| LinkedIn profile URLs | Email finder → Single lookup with the profile URL, or Bulk CSV | 10 per profile read, plus 20 per email found |
| A Sales Navigator search | Leads: capture the search into a list | Saving people is free |
| A list of target companies | Companies: import, match and find decision-makers | Depends on the step; shown before you start |
| A company domain only | Domain intel | free |
| An idea of who you sell to, but no list | Targeting, then the ready searches it builds | Searches are free |
Clean a list before you send
Use the Email verifier. Upload the file under Bulk CSV, pick the email column and run it. Remove anything Invalid. Catch-all addresses are flagged for free; you can then resolve them to a definite answer for 5 each. See Verify a list.
Get emails for people you already know
Use the Email finder. Each found email is checked before it's returned, so you don't need to verify it again. Add the company name when you have it: it finds more emails when the website's domain doesn't receive mail. See Why add the company name.
Build a new list from scratch
Use Leads. Paste a Sales Navigator search or save the people who liked or commented on a post, then find their emails in the same step or later. If you're on Growth or higher, score the list against your ICP first and find emails only for the strong fits, so you don't pay for emails you won't use.
Work from your own tools
- Claude, Claude Code or Cursor: ask in plain language, for example "verify these 10 addresses". See Connect filtrat to Claude.
- Clay: verify or find emails row by row in a table. See Use filtrat in Clay.
- n8n and other automations: ready templates and HTTP calls. See Workflow templates.
- Your own code: the REST API. See API quick start.
All of them use the same credit balance and the same prices as the app.
Trying something new on a big file? Run 10–20 rows first. You'll see the results and the real cost before you commit the rest.
