Email → LinkedIn works the other way round from the email finder: you give a work email, and get the person's LinkedIn profile, name, current title, company and location.
Look up one email
- Open Email finder → Email → LinkedIn.
- Type the email, for example
anna.lee@northwind.io. - Press Find profile. It takes 5 to 20 seconds.
- Press Profile & company to see their experience and the company: domain, website, size, headquarters, founded and description.
Look up a file
- On the same page, choose Bulk file and drop a CSV or XLSX with an email column (up to 50,000 rows).
- Check the email column we picked, then press Look up.
- The job runs in the background. Open it to see the results as they come in. Click a person to open their Profile and Company tabs.
- Press CSV to download the results: your columns first, then the LinkedIn ones, the company's details and the person's job history.
Save them to a lead list
Press Save to lead list on a job to put the people found into a new or existing lead list, with the email they were looked up by. Their profile isn't charged again. From there you can score them, add AI columns and send them to your sequencer. Tick Check their emails too to verify those emails (1 each) and find a new one where it's invalid. See Import leads from a file.
Verified, not verified, not found
| Result | What it means | Charged |
|---|---|---|
| Verified | The person works at the email's company now, on their profile | 30 |
| Not verified | We found a likely profile, but it shows another company: they may have moved | Free |
| Not found | Nobody fits, or two people at the company fit and we won't guess | Free |
The same email is free again for 30 days.
Which emails work
Work emails with the person's name in them work best: anna.lee@, annalee@, alee@, a.lee@. First-name-only addresses (anna@) work less often. Personal addresses (gmail.com, outlook.com…) and one- or two-letter addresses aren't looked up.
Deep lookup
For the emails we can't verify, you can turn on Deep lookup to also search a larger database. It costs 2,500 per person it finds and verifies, and nothing when it doesn't, so use it for the people you really need.
From the API or an AI agent
Use POST /email-to-linkedin for one email, or POST /email-to-linkedin/bulk/list for a list (see the API reference). Add details: true (or details=true when reading a job's rows) to also get the person's job history and the company's details, at no extra charge. POST /email-to-linkedin/bulk/{job_id}/save-to-list saves a job's people to a lead list. AI agents use the linkedin_by_email tool on our MCP server, with details: true too.
