Create a company list

Updated Oct 20263 min read

A company list holds the accounts you want to sell to. Once you have one, you can add company details, score the companies against your ICP and find the right people at each of them.

There are two ways to fill a list: from a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator company search, or from a file of LinkedIn company URLs.

You need a connected LinkedIn account. See Connect your LinkedIn account.

  1. Build a company search in Sales Navigator or LinkedIn and copy its URL.
  2. Open Companies. On the Paste URL tab, paste it and press Search. You can also paste a single company page URL and press Fetch company.
  3. Or use the Search filters tab to set filters such as industry, headcount and location in filtrat.
  4. Check the preview: how many companies were found and the First results.
  5. Choose how many to capture.
  6. Name the list under Save to new list, and press Capture N companies.

The capture runs in the background, adding company details as it goes. You can close the page.

A company search returns at most 1,000 companies, about 40 pages. To capture more, split the search, for example by location or industry, and capture each part into the same list. From inside a list, Add data → Add companies adds more; companies already in it are skipped.

What it costs

5 per company that we add a domain or description to. If there's nothing new to add, there's no charge. A company you were charged for in the last 30 days is free. If your credits run out, the capture pauses and continues by itself after you add credits.

From a file of LinkedIn company URLs

Use this when you already have your target accounts' LinkedIn company pages, for example in a CRM export or a spreadsheet. No LinkedIn account is needed to import.

  1. On the Companies page, press New list, give it a name and press Create list.
  2. In the list, open Add data → Import LinkedIn URLs.
  3. Drop a CSV or Excel file (up to 50,000 rows).
  4. In Map columns, pick the column with the LinkedIn company URL (required), and the Company name column if the file has one. Your other columns are kept as they are.
  5. Press Import N rows.

Each row needs its company's LinkedIn page, like linkedin.com/company/acme or a URL with the company's numeric ID. Rows without one are skipped, and the confirmation tells you how many were imported and how many were skipped.

Importing is free: rows are kept as you gave them and nothing is looked up. Their status reads LinkedIn URL until they're looked up. Find decision-makers looks each company up first (20 per company found, nothing when the page isn't found, and free again for 30 days), saves its details on the row and then searches it.
