The people who comment on or like a popular post about your topic are often as interesting as its author. A keyword post monitor can save them to the same list as the authors, from the posts that took off.
Turn it on
- Under Save people to a list (in Watch for new results, or a keyword monitor's Signal & capture settings), pick a list.
- Select Commenters, Likers or both. You can turn Authors off if you only want the people who engage.
- Open Advanced to set the thresholds and the monthly limit.
This is available on keyword post monitors. For one specific post, use a post watcher instead. See Watch a post.
Advanced settings
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| From posts with N+ likes or N+ comments | 20 likes or 5 comments | Only posts that took off qualify. Either count is enough |
| Up to N people per post | 200 | The most people taken from one post: commenters first, newest first, then likers |
| Monthly limit | 2,000 credits | The most this monitor spends on commenters and likers in a month |
How it works
People keep reacting to a post for a while, so filtrat doesn't read them right away. Each new post is read once, 24 hours after the monitor found it. If it has reached your thresholds by then, its commenters and likers are saved, up to your per-post maximum.
Signals only and ICP matches only apply here too: with Signals only, only flagged posts qualify; with ICP matches only, only people whose headline matches the ICP are saved.
Each person saved carries where they came from: the post, whether they liked or commented, and their comment.
What it costs
Commenters and likers are charged per person found (10), within the monthly limit you set. The same person found again within 30 days is free.
When the monitor reaches its monthly limit, it stops saving commenters and likers until next month, and its settings show Monthly limit reached. Posts that come due meanwhile are skipped. Authors and signals carry on as usual.
When you create a monitor, Watch for new results shows what your settings are likely to cost a month. See Read the monthly estimate.
Saving commenters and likers is a setting of the monitor, not a separate watcher, so it doesn't count towards your plan's monitor limit.
Keep it targeted
- Raise the thresholds for broad keywords. A post with 20 likes on a busy topic is ordinary.
- Commenters over likers. A commenter took the time to write; a liker clicked once. Saving commenters only costs less and gives warmer leads.
- Lower the per-post maximum if one viral post shouldn't fill your list.
- Turn on ICP matches only to skip people outside your audience.
