Saving commenters and likers is charged per person found, and how many people that is depends on posts nobody has written yet. To help you set sensible limits, filtrat shows an estimate of what your settings are likely to cost each month before you create the monitor.
Where you see it
When Commenters or Likers is on, an estimate appears next to the Create monitor button in Watch for new results:
≈ 1,200 credits/month
It updates as you change the settings. When it reads ≈ 2,000 credits/month (monthly limit), your settings would go past the monthly limit, and the limit is what you'd spend.
How it's worked out
A new monitor has no history yet, so the estimate is a rough guess from typical keyword monitors: how many posts a month usually reach your thresholds, and how many commenters and likers such posts usually have, up to your per-post maximum.
Then:
- Signals only counts only the typical share of posts flagged as signals.
- ICP matches only assumes roughly a third of people match.
- The total is the number of people times the price per person, capped at your monthly limit, and rounded.
What it doesn't include
- Authors.
- Emails found for the people saved.
- People found again within 30 days, who are free.
Reading it
| Estimate | What to do |
|---|---|
| Well under your limit | Fine. The limit is a safety net |
| Shows (monthly limit) | You'll likely hit the limit and miss people late in the month. Raise the thresholds, choose commenters only, turn on ICP matches only, or raise the limit if the people are worth it |
| Much higher than you expected | Your keywords are busy. Narrow them, or raise the thresholds |
The estimate is a forecast, not a charge. You only pay for people actually found, and never more than the monthly limit.
After the monitor's first weeks, compare its real spend with the estimate: open the monitor's Signal & capture settings and adjust the thresholds or the limit if it's spending faster than you planned. Every charge also shows in Usage history.
Watchers
Post and event watchers don't show an estimate. Their spend is shown on the watcher's row against its own monthly limit. See The monthly credit limit.
