People keep registering for a LinkedIn event right up to the day. An event watcher follows one event and adds new attendees, and the people who react to or comment on the event's post, to a lead list as they appear.
What you need
- The Pro plan or higher. A watcher counts towards your plan's monitor limit.
- A connected LinkedIn account. To see who's attending, your LinkedIn account attends the event.
Start watching
- Copy the event's link on LinkedIn.
- Open Signals and paste it into New monitor: keywords or LinkedIn URL. It's recognised as an event that will track new attendees, reactions and comments.
- Press Watch. Watch event engagement opens.
- Choose Poll frequency. Auto (starts frequent, slows over time) checks every 2 hours on the first day, every 6 hours until day 3, then daily. Or pick a fixed interval.
- Optional:
- Include current engagement: adds all current attendees, reactors and commenters, not just new ones.
- Find emails automatically for the people saved.
- Set the Monthly limit in credits. The dialog shows about how many profiles it covers.
- Pick a New list or an Existing list.
- Press Start watching.
With Include current engagement, the people already there are added in the background. You can leave the page and follow it in the list.
You can also find events with keywords: type them, choose Events, press Search once, and choose Watch engagement on an event in the results.
What it costs
| Cost | |
|---|---|
| Event attendees | free |
| People who like, comment on or repost the event's post | 10 per person found |
| Email found, with Find emails automatically | 20 |
The event post's engagers are charged within the watcher's monthly limit (4,000 credits by default). When the limit is reached, the watcher pauses until next month or until you raise it. See The monthly credit limit.
How long it runs
An event watcher keeps checking until you pause or stop it. Stop it after the event, once registrations are over. See Pause, resume or stop a watcher.
Attendees of a niche event are often a well-targeted list. Score the list with your ICP once the event is close, then find emails only for the good fits.
