filtrat charges when it gives you something you can use: a definite answer, an email, a profile, a value. When a lookup comes back empty or uncertain, it's free. That makes the estimate before a job the most it can cost, not what it will cost.
What's charged, and what isn't
| Tool | Charged | Free |
|---|---|---|
| Email verification | Deliverable or Invalid: 1 | Catch-all, Risky |
| Catch-all resolution | Deliverable or bounce: 5 | Can't be resolved; the address stays catch-all |
| Email finder | Email found: 20 (25 with catch-all resolution) | Not found |
| LinkedIn profiles | A profile is returned: 10 | Profile not available |
| Company details | A missing domain or description is filled: 5 | Nothing new found |
| Company matching | A row matched to a real company: 20 by its LinkedIn URL, 50 by its domain, 150 by name | No match, skipped rows, duplicates |
| LinkedIn company lookup | A company given only by its LinkedIn URL is found: 20 | Page not found; companies that already have their LinkedIn ID |
| AI columns | A value is found | No answer found |
Catch-all domains. With Resolve catch-all domains on, an email found behind a catch-all domain costs 5 on top of the found email: 20 + 5 = 25. The 25 are held when the search starts. If the email isn't found, they're all given back, so a not-found costs nothing. If the email is found on a domain that didn't need resolution, the extra 5 are given back and you pay 20.
Repeats are free
You don't pay twice for the same thing:
- Verification: an address you verified in the last 180 days comes back from your history at no cost, marked as cached with the date it was checked. That holds in the app, bulk jobs, the API and Clay. Only skipping the history, with Re-check in the app or
skip_cache: truein the API, runs a fresh test at the normal price. - People and companies: looking up the same person or company again within 30 days is free, whether it comes up in a capture, a finder run or an enrichment.
- Email patterns: once a domain's pattern is found, it's cached, and later lookups for that domain don't pay again.
Always free
- Catch-all detection, and the domain report next to every result
- Domain intel lookups
- Saving people from Sales Navigator searches, event attendees and group members
- Writing outreach openers
- Resuming a stopped job: rows already done aren't charged again
Estimates before you start
Before a bulk job, capture or enrichment starts, the app shows the estimated credits per step. The estimate assumes every row returns a result. In practice some rows are not found, unknown or repeats, so the final charge is usually lower. The credit ledger shows exactly what each job cost.
Over the API and MCP the same rules apply: one balance, the same prices, and nothing charged for empty results. Claude asks you to confirm before starting a job estimated at more than 5,000 credits.
Something looks wrong?
If a charge doesn't match the rules above, see Credits missing or charged twice, or email support@filtrat.io with the job name.
