Monthly credits vs credit packs

Updated Oct 20262 min read

There are two ways to get credits: a plan that adds credits every month, and one-time packs. Both land in the same balance and pay for any action. They differ in price, in when they expire, and in which is used first.

Price per creditLowestHigher than the plan at the same price

For example, $10 buys 25,000 credits a month on the Starter plan, or 20,000 credits as a pack. Across the range, a plan gives up to 50% more credits per dollar than the pack at the same price.

How the reset works

On your billing date each month, your subscription credits are set to your plan's full monthly amount. Whatever was left from the previous month is removed first; it isn't added on top. The Subscription credits panel on Credits & billing shows how many you've used this period and the date of the next reset.

Pack credits are never touched by the reset.

Which credits are used first

Every charge takes from your subscription credits first. Only when they're at zero does filtrat use pack credits. That way the credits that would expire are always spent before the ones that wouldn't.

Which one to choose

  • A plan if you use filtrat every month. You get the lowest price per credit, and the monthly amount covers your regular work.
  • A pack if your use is occasional, or as a top-up when a big campaign runs past your monthly credits. Nothing is lost if you don't use it this month.
  • Both is common: a plan sized for a normal month, plus a pack for busy ones.
Tip

If you keep buying packs every month, a bigger plan is usually cheaper. Compare your last few months on the credit ledger in Credits & billing.

Buy a pack

  1. Open Credits & billing.
  2. Press Top up →, or choose Pay-as-you-go above the plans.
  3. Choose a pack and press Buy pack.
  4. Pay in the secure checkout. You can pay in USD or EUR; pick the currency at the top of the page first.

The credits appear in your balance shortly after payment, and the ledger shows the purchase.
